Star Wars Episode VII has a few choices for its Lead

Variety reports that there are a few choices that are in the running for J.J. Abrams' latest entry into the Star Wars universe. While its been reported that Girls star, Adam Driver, is locked in for playing the lead villain for Star Wars Episode VII, now there are a few choices left for the lead role. As of right now there are five main actors that are in the running, Jesse Plemmons (Breaking Bad), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Ed Speelers (Downton Abbey) and theater actors James Thomas and Ray Fisher.   Jesse Plemmons   Plemmons seems like a really solid choice, seeing as how his popularity has surged due to his appearance in the last two seasons of Breaking Bad. John Boyega has proven himself in Joe Cornish's Attack the Block and is in a few upcoming films, like Imperial Dreams and a rendition of Shakespeare's Caeser. Overall, all of these choices seem pretty fantastic, due to their lower profile, but also their abilities and versatility as actors. We're still quite sometime away from the release of the film, which is to be released on December 18th, 2015. The film is to begin shooting in the next few months, so its safe to say that we'll hear who the new Jedi apprentice shall be in the next few weeks. What do you think? Out of this short list, who would you cast to lead Star Wars: Episode VII? Feel free to let us know in the comments below or in our forum section!
