TNT’s Falling Skies Renewed For a Fourth Season

TNT has renewed its popular series Falling Skies for a fourth season. Falling Skies is an epic drama created and produced by Dreamworks Television from executive producer Steven Spielberg. The show airs on TNT on Sunday nights at 10 PM and has an average of 5.8 million viewers. At this point in the summer, it is ranking as the top scripted series on basic cable with adults 18-49 and 25-54. The fourth season is set to air in the summer of 2014 and will contain ten episodes. In addition to Spielberg, season 3 is executive produced by Dreamworks heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, as well as Remi Aubuchon and Greg Beeman. At its premiere in 2011, the series ranked as basic cable's top new series of the year.


Falling Skies tells the story of the rough times and struggle for survival during the crisis of a catastrophic alien invasion. Noah Wyle plays Tom Mason, a college professor who ends up becoming an unlikely leader in the resistance against a massive invasion by outside alien forces. In addition to Wyle, there is a large supporting cast featuring lesser known actors such as Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Connor Jessup, Maxim Knight, Seychelle Gabriel, Mpho Koaho, Colin Cunningham, and Sarah Carter. Some guests stars that have appeared on the show during the season thus far include Gloria Reuben, Robert Sean Leonard, Stephen Collins, and Doug Jones.
