UPDATE - Ubisoft reached the targeted goal of 1,776,000 likes in just three days and the new gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed 3 is below.
ORIGINAL STORY - Ubisoft released another teaser video for Assassin's Creed 3, their big game of the fall this year. The video below literally lives up to the word but there is a catch. If the official Assassin's Creed 3Facebook page receives enough likes, Ubisoft will release an extended gameplay version of the trailer. The targeted number, which is actually kind of clever, is set at 1,776,000, referencing the game's Amercian Revolution setting. This is not the first time an extended version of a trailer has been "unlocked" by getting a certain number of Facebook likes, but it is becoming quite the trend these days with promoting games whether people like it or not. The last significant game to do this type of promotion was Battlefield 3 as their target goal of Facebook likes was reached in a matter of days, so I won't be surprised if we get this extended trailer for Assasin's Creed 3 in a day or two since they're already halfway to the goal. In the meantime, enjoy another look of the snowy backgrounds of the American Revolution and the game's protagonist, Connor, as Assassin's Creed 3 is still slated for release on October 30 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
