What If Krypton’s Past Looked Like One Of Earth’s Possible Futures?

There are nights when I’m laying in bed, staring at the ceiling, just about to fall asleep and a thought pops into my head like: If Krypton was an advanced civilization, did they have warp drive capabilities? If Zod was a general, did Krypton just have an army? Did they have an air force or a navy? If Jor-El was one of their smartest scientists like our Einstein, did they develop a space program? Before the planet spontaneously combusted, did they develop something like Starfleet to explore strange, new worlds and seek out new live forms and go boldly where no Kryptonian had gone before?

The Almighties #1 – Review

This review mimics the way I felt about this issue as I was reading it. I started hating it, and ended up enjoying it despite several panels that I can say did offend me. It really does feel like an acid-trippy version of Avengers with things randomly thrown in, like Mecha-Hitler.
