True Blood – F*** the Pain Away Review: A Poorly Constructed Episode Misses the Mark

HBO’s True Blood missed the mark with its sixth episode, “Fuck the Pain Away.” A mess of disconnected storylines saw Billith take control of Warlow, Sookie attacked by a possessed Lafayette, and Jessica, Pam, Tara, and Eric captured and taken to Vampire Camp. While the storylines remained largely static, there were some bright spots amid the chaos, but the episode was largely a disappointment.

4.5 Million Tune in for True Blood Season Premiere

HBO’s vampire drama True Blood premiered its sixth season last night, garnering an audience of 4.5 million viewers. While viewership was down from the previous season’s premiere, the series’ numbers are still a success for the cable channel.
