In the previous issue the scientists of Los Alamos decided they were so powerful they no longer needed to be beholden to their masters. They teamed up with the scientists of Star City to rebuff the Super Powers. In this issue they face the consequences of their actions.
Action Lab wants to make every comic so, despite being known for their all-ages books like the Eisner-nominated Princeless, have decided to launch their mature imprint Action Lab: Danger Zone. With some help from Jason Martin of Super Real Graphics.
Not surprisingly, letting the maniacs run the asylum turned out to really entertaining. Dark Reign was the peak of Brian Michael Bendis’ Avengers run.
By now you’ve already read Amazing Spider-Man #700 or had it spoiled by twitter or even CNN. I was extremely surprised by Dan Slott’s conclusion – I was sure that Spidey would prevail over Doctor Octopus. But, no, Slott stuck to his guns. Of course, as Spidey’s life flashed before his eyes, Doc Ock felt the burden of Uncle Ben dying and is presumably now a good guy. Is this good for the Spider-Man franchise?
Harley fights the Joker – possibly for the last time. Is the fight worthy of her? It certainly is, but I’m still kind of bored.
