Flashpoint Friday – New Round Up – Geoff Johns Leaves The Flash

It’s Friday and that means it’s time for DC to dump a ton of Flashpoint news and previews upon the world, but the biggest news is that Geoff Johns will be leaving the Flash series after Flashpoint #5. Johns has had an extensive run on Flash in the past and has brought Barry Allen back to the DC forefront in a big way, but it’s still surprising to see him leave right after the event. Unless a big name creator comes on board you can expect a sales slump almost instantly as history shows us (See Flash and Wonder Woman’s relaunch after Final Crisis).

Fathom Vol 4 #0 – Advanced Review

The world of Fathom is far more complex than simply referring to it as Aquaman as a woman, which is what a lot of people think when they see the late Michael Turner’s creation. It’s a shame then that they are missing out on a very different underwater world filled with technology and superpowers.  Aspen Matthews (the name-shake for the company) used to be just another surfer girl until learning that she was actually tied to the water she loved so much, in a completely different way. She is the combination of two underwater civilizations that don’t get along. Think of the Skrulls and Kree if you need a point of reference.

Rob Liefeld Shares A Look At Infinite #2

Yup it looks like something Rob Liefeld (pronounced Lie’filled and driving from the greek word meaning to be filled with Lies) drew. Still stuck in that early nineties art style with floating feet, huge man muscles and ninjas that for some reason need more than two swords. If you want to know what the project is about check out our announcement for it. The real question I have for this book is a what point does Robert Kirkman just get tired of working with the Image founders? When does he look at them and just yell at them for not making a deadline or producing terrible art like we’re about to show you. You can pick this book up one day when Liefeld finishes it because no one, not even Kirkman will solicit a book that is incomplete from this guy. Why you ask? Because you’ll never see the next issue that’s why. Enjoy ranting enjoy these pages from Infinite #2 coming out from Image Comics.
