Vizio Debuts Two New Handheld Devices

It is a fair accusation that the majority of North American consumers have no idea that the Vizio Company, known mostly for making televisions and other electronics, has their own line of cell phones.  In 2011, Vizio made their first attempt at the mobile market with a device appropriately named The Vizio Phone.  While the phone was well received at the 2011 CES, the hype rapidly died down and Vizio pulled the phone from the North American market and focused towards marketing the device in China.  It was speculated that this decision to was due as a result of North American carrier politics.

The growing giant Samsung is close to revealing a new tablet from the Galaxy Note bloodline. According to reports, Samsung is about to show the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.0 next month at their event in Barcelona. Samsung has been quiet when it comes to giving early details of the upcoming device. There are no confirmed specs about the pricing and features of the sure to be great tablet but supposedly the Galaxy Note 8.0 will priced rather high, about $520. So the Galaxy Note 8.0 will be fairly expensive when it hits the market but more than likely it is well worth the price.

Android Apps to Temporarily Power Blackberry 10 Market

RIM’s Blackberry, formerly recognized as Research In Motion, has placed a great measure of importance on the incorporation of apps. RIM has said its two new Blackberry 10 devices will launch around 80,000 apps. BlackBerry Vice President of Global Alliances and Business Development, Martyn Mallick, claims that almost half of these apps will be from an Android source which is interested and advantageous for both parties.
