Carrie-Anne Moss, Malcom McDowell Join “Silent Hill: Revelation 3D”

Now we honestly didn’t see that coming but in hindsight, it’s not that surprising. Deadline reports that both Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix trilogy, Memento) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) have both joined the cast of Michael J. Bassett’s upcoming Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.

Anne Moss, who recently had a pivotal voice role in last year’s Mass Effect 2, joins the cast as a character named Claudia Wolf, while McDowell will play Leonard Wolf. This only further demonstrates how the sequel to the 2006 film is based largely on the game Silent Hill 3, as both Claudia and Leonard appear in the game along with Heather Mason, who will be played by Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) in the film.

“Silent Hill 2” Begins Filming, First Image Revealed



Five years after the first Silent Hill creeped into theaters literally and figuratively, IGN reports that filming has begun on the sequel in Toronto, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. Further, a production image has already been released, featuring lead star Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) as Heather Mason, packing heat. 

While no official synopsis has been released by the studio, the one making the rounds online is as follows: “Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand

We can now stop referring to them as “Sherlock Holmes 2” and Marc Webb’s untitled “Spider-Man” reboot. The December 2011 and July 2012 tentpoles, respectively, will be called Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and The Amazing Spider-Man. Inspired? Bothered? What’s in a name anyway?
