50 Girls 50 #1 – Review

There’s some familiar elements to 50 Girls 50, but added together and you have a great mix of campy sci-fi that hasn’t been seen since the golden era of television. 50 Girls 50 is about a team of women that are sent through a worm hole to discover the galaxy and bring home their discoveries after being gone for over five years. The warp is set to return them, but due to a miscalculation somewhere they are sent to a different planet that’s nowhere on their maps.

B.P.R.D. – The Dead Remembered #3 – Review

What started off as interesting and revealing has ended the only way it could… solid and predictable. The Dead Remembered only really had one of two places to go and thankfully it chose a lighter ending that fit the tone and feel of the story to begin with. We open up with the Professor asking if Elizabeth has been taking her pills, which is really a segway into catching her sneaking out the night before.

Fourteen years ago Matt’s father was a part of the first Red Spike experiment and went nuts and executed his own wife which resulted in his day being shot to hell by the military. This is your first indication that this is the origin story and it doesn’t get much better from here on out.

The Amazing Spider-Man #661 – Review

Ever since Peter Parker joined the Future Foundation in lieu of the death of Johnny Storm, The Amazing Spider-Man series has in some ways lost sight of what it is… that it’s a Spider-Man comic. It seems as though Spider-Man is the new Deadpool, a comic that pulls all other comics into it and adds a bumbling funny man in the form of the titular hero. However, even though the comic has recently lost its focus, I did enjoy reading this one.

Batman #710 – Review

The latest Batman
focuses on an interesting premise regarding someone that hasn’t really been
seen around the DCU lately: Two-Face. In issue #710, writer Tony Daniel decides
to take away that which makes the rogue tick, and that’s his coin. Throughout
the character’s career of tormenting Gotham, Two-Face’s coin has basically made
all of his decisions for him. It’s sometimes rocky, and its focus may wander,
but the return of Two Face is not without some great moments.

Top Cow’s Hunter Killer Gets A Video Game

Remember Top Cow and their fun little comic jaunt that was Hunter Killer? It
was created by Mark Waid and Marc Silvestri back in 2005; Hunter Killer
featured genetically engineered beings hunt rogue agents from their own secret
program, desperately scrambling to keep these “Ultra-Sapiens” from becoming
Weapons of Mass Destruction in the hands of the world’s superpowers, power
brokers, and madmen. Wow!

Well it looks like it’s coming to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live
Arcade.
