Holy Terror Frank Miller

Frank Miller is the guy that did a little book called Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, maybe ya heard of it? Anyway, he has teamed up with the likes of Legendary Comics to release his 120-page hardcover graphic novel, Holy Terror, with spot color interiors presented in a 10 x 13 landscape format.

In Holy Terror, join The Fixer, a brand new, hard-edged hero as he battles terror. The graphic novel is a no-holds-barred action thriller told in Miller’s trademark high-contrast, black-and-white visual style, which seizes the political zeitgeist by the throat and doesn’t let go until the last page.

If you’re like me and were dragged to the first Transformers as an obligation to your friends only to be disappointed and never to watch the film again only to be surprised when they made a second and now a third, then ignore this sale tie in. If you’re actually interested in the comics from IDW that are pretty decent, then check out the sale on every single digital platform they offer comics on and pick up awesome books like Hail Megatron and the on-going Transformers series. I myself my check out a lot of the tie-ins I’ve heard plenty about to see what all the hub-bub is about. You have until the end of Independence Day to get them so really there’s no rush. Also that’s my birthday if you want to buy me some digital goodness too… just saying.

Sometimes the finest works in art and literature are those of parody. Such is the case with Skultar, a new comic from M. J. Butler and Eisner Award–winning artist Mark Wheatley (Black HoodLone JusticeMars).

In an age before recorded history, in a brutal world ruled by myth, magic, and monsters, a hero rises to fight for the oppressed. His name is Skultar. Unfortunately, he dies shortly after our story begins . . .

In his place, another rises up to be mistaken for Skultar, to claim the riches and reputation his legend brings. Similar to Skultar in strength, but nothing else, he nevertheless must stumble his way through his adventures, aided by Skultar’s right-hand man.
