With each year, games are getting easier and easier. Becoming far less realistic and catering to the scrubs of the gaming world. It’s not our fault that they can’t manage to get a simple headshot but is their fault that games like Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are becoming more like rollercoasters and less like the authentic military experiences that they are meant to be. This forces real gamers to look further and harder for real military games.
Microsoft has decided to trade glitzy for nondescript when it comes to
the finish for their console. The slim version of the Xbox 360, which was
released in June 2010, wowed those who were
present at its unveiling with its glossy black finish and sleek design. The
new finish will look much closer to the old black Xbox 360 elite models (or the
slimmed down PS3) than its sexier counterpart, but with the same sleek design.
You can’t really go two
months without spotting a new comic event hitting the shelves – and more
importantly hitting your wallet. Currently, the Big Two (DC and Marvel) are
running Flashpoint and Fear Itself respectively. If you want to read all of the
issues of both events, you’re looking to spend well over $400. Fear Itself has
over 45 issues, with Flashpoint boasting a disgusting 72 issues including
tie-ins and one shots. So the question is which one deserves your money and
attention.
You know what’s better than one opinion and one earth? Multiples! Flashpoint is DC comics big summer event, the equivalent of their summer blockbuster movie and since it’s a book that is supposed to change the world of DC comics forever, we’ve taken a look at the first issue and added our thoughts and comments on it for Flashpoint Friday! If you’ve read the first issue we encourage you to leave your thoughts, if not be warned that there will be spoilers!
I read this news article and I thought. Does this really work? Does the Flash need another color of Flash? I am sure that Geoff Johns will try and make this concept work, but for me it doesn’t seem like a really good idea. This may have worked great in Green Lantern since there powers are based of emotions, but Flash power is not based on will or emotions, there just a really cool power that he inherited. Lets see if Johns can capture ligthing in a bottle again with this idea. Below are some pages that elude to what might be a different color of Flash.
The cover art for the book look fantastic. It looks like Aquaman is a lot tougher than what comic book fans give him credit. I think that Aquaman has finally snapped and this is his retaliation to the entire world for all those jokes about him for always being a “lame” hero. Ohh yeah there is some Reverse Flash art too if you like him as well. Enjoy!
