Dead Rising 2 PS3 Review

Zombies always find us no matter where we hide. They find us in mansions, malls, our front lawns, Louisiana, in post apocalyptic futures and even WWII. And now they have found us yet again in Dead Rising 2, Capcom’s other zombie franchise. As aging motocross champion Chuck Greene, you must save the last remaining survivors from a zombie onslaught in Nevada, clear your name off a terrorist plot and make sure your daughter Katey takes her medicine all within a few days length.

Killzone 3 Beta for Plus Subscribers Only

On October 25 a public beta for the highly anticipated Killzone 3 will be made available, although this tantalizing trial will only be accessible for active PlayStation Plus subscribers.

But even if you are a Plus subscriber, in order to actually be one of the lucky 10,000 (5,000 for both the USA and Europe) who get to play the beta, you will first have to download an exclusive theme from the PlayStation Store on October 19. Once you have done this, then and only then, will you be eligible for the entry code required to access the download

GTA IV Bundle Coming Soon

Rockstar has planned a new bundle release for the latest crop of GTA IV content. Listings from Amazon display Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition which is scheduled for an October 26^th release. The bundle will include the core GTA IV game as well as the two DLC episodes The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Costume Quest is Given a Price and Release Date

The studio Double Fine have set the date and price for its unusual adventure game Costume Quest. Now set for an October 20 release for both Xbox Live and PSN, it will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, or $15 for the PS3 version in the US.

PSN and Store Releases for 10/5/10

A busy week this week, with some interesting games and add-on appearing on PSN. Enslaved and Castlevania are both worthy store releases, along with NBA 2K11. 
Alien Breed: Impact, and Deadliest Warrior: The Game are the two main releases on the Playstation Network. And there are also two more Japanese Playstation 1 classics added this week for those of you who enjoy a bit of an old skool challenge.

Space Invaders: Infinity Gene Preview

Released in arcades back in 1978, Space Invaders introduced to the world what the shooting game genre was capable of. Developed by Taito, the game is widely considered one of the most influential games, if not the most influential game, ever made. Thirty-two years later and the franchise is still popular enough to warrant receiving a much needed face-lift along with another opportunity to wow the masses. Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, published by Square Enix, is being crowned the next evolution of the venerable series.

There are many annoying things going on in the video game industry right now, such as fanboyism, motion sensing, the 3D glasses movement, the Wii… the list can go on and on. However, one of the most annoying things is the “token hot video game journalist chick”.
