Revamping classic games is a big trend these days, and every old Atari or Commodore 64 hit will inevitably get a HD, XL, or Ultimate edition. Now it is time for Boulder Dash to have a go with a new generation of gamers as a downloadable arcade game for Xbox Live Arcade.
Showtime has signed David S. Goyer to both pen and produce a new show being adapted from the comic series 100 Bullets. Goyer’s writing credits include working with Christopher Nolan on his Batman films; including the the newest installment, The Dark Knight Rises, which will be released in 2012. He also wrote all three of the Blade films, so it’s safe to say the man is familiar with a comic adaption. His production credits on the small screen aren’t as glamorous. However, having created several shows that never made it out of their first year. Including Flashforward, on which he also served as a writer and co-creator.
The comic written by Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Eduardo Risso ran from August of 1999 to April 2009. It garnered critical acclaim and several awards from both the Harvey and Eisner Awards. 100 Bullets is a story about a one man conspiracy to take out rich and influential families secretly controlling the world. It also poses a question of morality, as the main character -the mysterious Agent Graves- goes about his task by giving the victims of hardship the opportunity to take their revenge by murdering the people that wronged them.

When
you think of Hollywood’s most talented comedic actresses, Cameron Diaz
immediately pops into mind. She’s smart, witty, gorgeous, bubbly, and
extremely hilarious, but her recent filmography doesn’t really match up
with her previous successes. Her latest features include the weakly
performing The Box, The Green Hornet, and Knight and Day, but there’s hope that she can rise to the top with the Judd Apatow-esque comedy Bad Teacher. Most
of Diaz’s weak offerings lately have more to do with poor choices in
film roles and less to do with her personal life, but some actors don’t
have it quite so easily. Some experience tumultuous difficulties and
trials in their lives. For others, it’s a combination of bad career
moves and poor lifestyle choices.
In comics, death is just an annoyance for the majority of heroes. Almost every major player has died and returned, sometimes more than once. Upon their return, the mantle is picked back up and the hero continues on as though nothing happened. I have problems with this.
Remember that awesome Fallout fan film last year, Nuka Break? No? Well, do you remember a short film where cutie actress Tybee Diskin was strutting aoround the desert in really tiny shorts? Settle down, eventually, it’s going to come out for PC and Playstation 3 too, but the new Call of Duty Black Ops DLC is going to start out as an Xbox exclusive. Which begs the question, is this sort of stunt actually going to sell more Xboxes? Are there Call of Duty fans so hardcore that they’ll ditch their Playstation 3 and run out and buy an Xbox just to get some DLC a couple of weeks early? Well, someone certainly hopes so, because the new pack, Annihilation will hit Xbox Live on June 28th leaving PC and Playstation owners pining away.

It is not every day that I get to sit down with a creator that will one day be known as a Comic Legend!
