Though comparisons to Bridesmaids are inevitable, Leslye Headland’s Bachelorette is much darker and, ultimately, funnier than 2011’s breakout comedy hit. Its characters are incredibly dislikable, and its script is full of mean-spirited surprises, but it has guts and definitely will make you laugh.

The Cold Light of Day is a hamstrung, nearly farcical wannabe-thriller that proceeds to insult its viewers with tepid action, leaps in logic and at more than one instance plot developments that border on incomprehensible.
