Oscar Baiter ‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close’ Gets a Trailer

Every year presents the opportunity for movie lovers to predict what films will and won’t make the cut at the Academy Awards. Sight unseen, many films look like major contenders for the top prize, and Stephen Daldry’s Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close definitely fits that bill.

Based on the Jonathan Safran Foer novel of the same name, the film accounts for the life of an eccentric young genius named Oskar Schell (played by newcomer Thomas Horn) whose father (Tom Hanks) died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. One day he stumbles upon a mysterious key that belonged to his father and goes on an extensive journey to find out what it opens.
