It’s another week and another free game that PlayStation Plus users are getting for being members. Next PlayStation Store update will host Double Fine‘s newest creation, Stacking, which will be completely free to Plus subscribers. If you’ve never taken a trip inside the mind of Tim Schafer, then prepare for a hilarious and thought-provoking title.
Sony has released a new trailer that shows some more games heading for Sony’s NGP (Next Generation Portable). The games on the trailer include the stunning looking Gravity Daze, Killzone, Little Big Planet, Wipeout, Resistance, Uncharted, and some other new titles that make use of the systems’ rear touchpad and Sixaxis motion sensing system.

Demon’s Souls is back, and no matter how much you want to quit, you will again be compelled to return to From Software’s engaging fantasy world for just one more try. For whatever reason, though, the newly announced sequel will not be called Demon’s Souls, but rather Dark Souls. Perhaps this is a reference to the original game’s brutal “dark” alignment, at which times the game would become even more difficult?
Capcom’s newest and somewhat-hyped PSN game Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 requires a constant connection to the internet to play. That’s right, despite the game’s lack of online co-op, you must be connected to PSN at all times while playing the game or it will stop working. This is an effort on Capcom’s part to keep the game from being shared amongst PS3 owners, and it works a lot like the DRM on many PC games.
Okay, file this as a rumor for now, but a very interesting one. Remember that Ubisoft game I Am Alive? The post-natural-disaster-survival game that was originally announced way back in 2008? Well according to jeuxvideo.fr’s Warpzone, the game has shifted formats significantly thanks to some internal struggles.
Not much in the way of new store release this week for the PlayStation 3. But as we did get Dead Space 2 last week, andLittleBigPlanet 2 the week before, we shouldn’t complain too much. The biggest PlayStation Network release this week is probably Assassin’s Creed II Deluxe Edition, which is a downloadable version of the full game with three new extra maps.
