Respawn: Bully Scholarship Edition

Hello and welcome to Player Affinity’s new Video Game feature, Respawn, where we will take a game released around two years ago, and give it a short write up. Describing how well it holds up, deliver it a short review, and finally say if we recommend playing through it again or not.

It doesn’t really matter your age, gender, or race; we’ve all been picked on at one time or another. Bully is a game that puts you in “that guy’s” position. That guy, the guy you always wanted to be, being kind to the Nerds, kicking the Jocks’ asses, getting all the ladies, and managing to egg a few cars along the way. The entire actual concept of Bully is an excellent one, but it’s the execution that isn’t always the most impressive thing.

Madden 2011 Review

This year, on Tuesday August 10, there is a holiday for a small, yet dedicated faction of American citizens. The calendars say that Labor Day is the next official day off, but for NFL and sports game aficionados, the day that Madden hits the retail shelves should be a paid holiday. Timed for release in the first half of August, right around the time NFL preseason is beginning, Madden has become a digital program (as in the magazine style books they sell at the stadiums) for the NFL fan. Free agents are on the rosters of their new teams,  the April’s draft class is ranked and added to the mix—even mega-busts like David Carr and JaMarcus Russell once brought hope—and fans have a simulated, virtual set of Football cards to pour over, trade, and best of all, play with.

The Monitor: Week 2

The floodgates have been fully opened, and the Halo news is pouring out. Just as predicted, this week has been full of surprises, and it’s safe to say the Halo hype train is chuggin’ along at full speed. However, with just over a month until Reach’s release, we’re entering dangerous ground. With constant Halo info comes the risk of possible leaks and spoilers. You can have confidence that The Monitor will provide the most Halo news possible without the risk of spoiling the game. Should any gray areas come about, I’ll be certain to warn you before proceeding.

Xbox Economist Double Feature

This week it’s double the savings, and double the fun. We have two games to offer you to try, and they’re at our usually low low price. So get ready to laugh, but be ready for a fright as well. This feature is a bit bipolar! Hello, and welcome to a special session of the Xbox Economist! This time the feature will be show you the best way to spend your buck, and give you the best fun to price ration possible. However unlike before it will be giving you double the usual amount of cheap games that you should try out, As always be mindful that there might be small spoilers, and that this is not a review (it’s a friendly recommendation). Also there may be naughty language.

Crystal Dynamics Announces DLC

In some slightly confusing news, Crystal Dynamics is announcing DLC… Downloadable Laura Croft. I at first thought this was Downloadable Content, and then I thought it was just a downloadable alternate costume. Turns out, it’s a bit of a combination of the two, I have come to the conclusion that this is the announcement of loads of DLC that will roll out for The Guardian of Light’s Xbox 360 version up until the end of the year, mainly from October-December.
