Will We Ever Play These Old Games Part 3

We all have that shameful backlog somewhere in our house; a stack of old games that we bought on impulse years ago, but never got around to playing despite the fact that we just had to own the thing.  Then there’s all of those games we started playing and kept meaning to finish off, but were constantly distracted by the latest installment of Call of Duty.  Well, Player Affinity’s PC crew pried open our chest of neglected classics and had another go at them to see whether or not we’ll ever play these old games.

Magicka Expansion Announced… In Vietnam?

Magicka continues its over-the-top humor and homages to other developers and popular gaming by announcing its first expansion, Magicka: Vietnam. Vietnam seems like an unlikely setting for a swords-and-mostly-sorcery game such as Magicka, and frankly, it is. Paradox, however, has announced that their first foray in to expansion territory for their hit title is taking place there regardless. The expansion promises new gameplay areas, new spells, some new weapons and at least one new outfit for your wizard-on-the-go. The trailer launched complete with a Magicka-themed parody of the popular ’60s hit “Bird is the Word”. Paradox has not released a price point or release date as of yet for Vietnam.

Minecraft Developer Announces New Game

Mojang the Swedish video game Developer founded by Markus Persson is known for creating the hugely-successful indie game Minecraft.  That game is already a huge hit, despite the fact that it isn’t actually done yet, so it seems inevitable that Mojang would have plans to make another game someday.  Well, those plans are a little further along than previously thought, because they’ve already announced the new project.  It’s a free-to-play strategy/ collectible card game called Scrolls.
