New Batman Arkham City Screenshots

The game is still about six months away, but the PR folk at Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment are steadily releasing tantalizing morsels of information about the next installment in the Arkham Asylum series.  It’s just a thinly veiled attempt to build an irresistible juggernaut of hype over the new Batman game, but hey, we’re glad to play along because we here at Player Affinity are as excited about this game as anyone else.

Midweek Sales Tuesday February 15th

It’s shaping up to be quite a good week in terms of online game sales.  Steampowered.com is holding a Square Enix week, with a different game by Squenix on sale every day.  Today, it’s the whole Just Cause franchise; you can get the first Just Cause game for $3.75, or the sequel for $7.50.  This deal is only good for today, Tuesday the 15th.  Steam is also holding a big huge bundle sale on the entire Squenix catalogue; that’s dozens of games for $75!

Telltale Unveils Jurassic Park Game and 2011 Line-Up


Last year Telltale announced that they were working on both a series of adventure games for the classic movie franchises Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. With the recent release of the first two episodes of the Back to the Future game, many people were left wondering when we would see Jurassic Park and how it would be different to Telltale’s other products.

Recently Telltale announced several games that they will be bringing out
over the course of 2011. First up was the unveiling of the Jurassic Park
game with the trailer below.

Hector: Badge of Carnage Coming to the PC

Hector: Badge of Carnage “Episode 1: We Negotiate With Terrorists” was a particularly fun and hilarious point-and-click adventure game for the iPod that featured solid writing and a unique hand drawn art style. It followed the titular Detective Inspector Hector as he rushed around the British town of Clappers Wreake trying to resolve a hostage situation.

Despite
its cartoony art style, Hector is quite clearly designed to be played
by more adult audiences with its own unique brand of humor as the
trailer below clearly illustrates. The game was quite well received and
it’s well worth checking out on the Appstore.

Baron Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok – Review

Let’s get this straight right from the beginning; Baron Wittard is a hard game.   When I say hard, I mean that I was stumped by the very first level.   It’s a combination of point ‘n’ click adventure, with puzzle-solving, and only hardcore fans of both genres will want to take a look at Barron Wittard.  This game will melt your brain if you aren’t heavily into hunting for hidden switches and trial & error logic puzzles.
