Comic Con Movies: Drive Angry Panel

Patrick Lussier follows up My Bloody Valentine 3D with Drive Angry 3D, an action film for Summit Entertainment. Lussier attended the panel, with Nicholas Cage (Kick-Ass), Amber Heard (Never Back Down) and William Fichtner (Heat). The basic plot is the Cage plays a father who seeks revenge against the men who murdered his daughter, and obviously goes about it in a very violent way.

It was full of humor and wit, as well as some surprises for a few lucky people attending the panel. The first one on stage was the film’s director, Edgar Wright, who is most known for his British comedies. A little while into the panel, the crowd went wild as Whedon “confirmed” his involvement with The Avengers. When Whedon mentioned that he was set to direct The Avengers, the audience went wild. However, he jokingly said it was “just a gig.”
